Answers to Your Swimwear Production Questions

From 2D AutoCAD pattern drafting to retail-ready custom packaging, learn how our Bali production studio streamlines your swimwear launch.

Starting Your Swimwear Brand

How do I get started with swimwear manufacturing?

Getting started is seamless. Simply share your swimwear designs, inspirational references, or tech packs, or choose styles directly from our curated Ready Design collection. Include your fabric preferences (plain or printed) and target order volumes.

Our dedicated product development coordinators prepare a comprehensive commercial quotation covering pattern drafting, certified fabrics, trims, custom branding, and unit production costs within 2 to 3 working days.

Are your production prices all-inclusive?

Yes. Every piece manufactured by Swime Swimwear Co., Ltd. arrives retail-ready with no surprise fees. Your quoted unit price includes:

  • Digital 2D AutoCAD pattern generation and proportional grade-rules.
  • Premium unbranded trims, rust-proof rings, sliders, and closures.
  • One heat-pressed interior logo containing care instructions and size marking.
  • Individual biodegradable zip-lock packaging per garment.
  • Rigorous multi-stage quality control and hygienic liners.

Custom engraved metal charms, bespoke branded tags, and custom hardware are quoted separately according to your brand specifications.

Do you offer Custom Designs from scratch?

Yes. Swime Swimwear Co., Ltd. is a premier private label swimwear manufacturer producing both samples and bulk production orders for over 300 independent labels each year.

Our Kerobokan studio employs 65 specialized swimwear craftspeople, pattern engineers, and sewists, each with over ten years of swimwear construction experience. With clear tech packs, reference images, and dimensional guidelines, your initial sample is engineered to arrive production-ready in round one.

Do you offer ready-to-order swimwear designs?

Yes. For labels looking to bypass the pattern engineering timeline, we offer a proven catalog of commercial best-sellers and trend-led cuts. Each design is pre-graded to international body dimensions, ensuring a sculpted, ergonomic fit.

Choose your silhouettes, select from 200+ in-stock plain colors or custom prints, and apply your branding for swift commercial rollout.

Can I mix and match custom designs and ready styles?

Yes. You can comfortably integrate custom silhouettes with our ready-to-order styles in one production purchase order. For example, you can produce 400 pieces across 10 custom designs and supplement with 60 pieces from our ready designs, reaching a versatile 460-piece collection launch.

Do you offer Fabric Swatch Packs?

Yes. To evaluate texture, hand-feel, compression, and drape before manufacturing, our comprehensive B2B Fabric Swatch Pack is available for USD 75, including express door-to-door delivery worldwide via DHL Express.

Full Credit Guarantee: The entire USD 75 fee is credited directly toward your first bulk production deposit.

Each pack contains real tactile swatches of Carvico Vita, Sumatra, Pantelleria, and Eco Lustra, alongside laser-accurate color books, removable molded cups, trim samples, and heat-press transfers.

Sampling & Production Management

How do I order custom swimwear samples?

For custom collections, prototype sampling is mandatory to finalize fitting curves and sewing tolerances. Submit clear design handovers (sketches, CAD drawings, or tech packs) with detailed notes regarding neckline depths, coverage levels, strap widths, and fabric choices.

Custom samples are charged at double the wholesale unit rate plus a USD 30 digital CAD pattern development fee per style, fully credited against your bulk order deposit.

What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?

We operate on collection-based MOQs, giving founders the creative liberty to offer balanced colorways and complete size ranges:

  • Custom Designs: 400 pieces per collection (minimum 40 pieces per style, 4 pieces per size and colorway).
  • Ready Designs: 300 pieces per collection (minimum 30 pieces per style, 3 pieces per size and colorway).

This allows a balanced launch mix of bikini tops, bottoms, and one-pieces without excessive inventory exposure.

What are your timelines for samples and bulk manufacturing?

Sampling Lead Time: 1 to 3 weeks for custom styles; 1 to 2 weeks for ready styles using in-stock raw materials.

Bulk Manufacturing: Typically 3 to 5 weeks from final sample approval, technical sign-off, and deposit verification.

Custom hardware casting, specialty yarn dyeing, or overseas strike-offs require additional scheduled lead time.

Do you offer lower MOQs for restock top-up orders?

Yes. Once patterns and fit grades are locked from your initial production, top-up replenishment orders enjoy reduced thresholds:

  • Custom Top-Ups: 250 pieces (50 pieces per style; 5 per size and color).
  • Ready Design Top-Ups: 200 pieces (40 pieces per style; 5 per size and color).

Volume Tier Discounts: Significant tiered pricing breaks apply to purchase orders exceeding 2,000 units, supporting growing brands as retail demand scales.

Technical Fabrics, Colorways & Printing

What swimwear fabrics do you offer in stock?

We stock over 200 plain shades and premium textures of certified eco-friendly swimwear fabrics imported directly from Italy and the USA:

  • Carvico Vita (Italy): Sustainable techno-fabric engineered with ECONYL® 100% regenerated nylon from post-consumer waste. Offers 2-way stretch, muscular compression, and maximum chlorine resistance.
  • Sumatra & Pantelleria (Italy): Luxury ribbed and textured surfaces providing structured silhouette containment.
  • Eco Lustra (USA): Luminous recycled polyamide featuring a subtle metallic sheen.
  • REPREVE® (USA): Certified recycled nylon specifically prepared for digital print sublimation.
Are your in-stock textiles deadstock remnants?

No. Swime Swimwear Co., Ltd. never builds collections from unpredictable deadstock or leftover remnants. All our textiles are freshly manufactured, air-freighted weekly in continuous 70-meter rolls, and kept in climate-regulated storage. This guarantees consistent hand-feel, uniform elasticity, and exact dye-lot matching across both initial orders and future restocks.

Can I supply my own custom fabrics?

Yes. Swime Swimwear Co., Ltd. holds a recognized Tax-Free Fabric Import Facility granted under official trade oversight. We assist qualifying international clients in routing proprietary textiles directly to our Bali facility without prohibitive local customs tariffs.

How does custom digital swimwear printing work?

We are the only Bali facility offering true digital sublimation directly onto recycled REPREVE® nylon utilizing advanced Italian MS industrial printers with OEKO-TEX® certified water-based inks.

Supply your artwork files in scalable vector formats (AI, EPS, PDF, CDR) or ultra-high-resolution rasters (300 DPI minimum). Digital strike-offs ensure complete color fidelity, sharp fine lines, and superior softness without the stiff plastic finish common with low-grade screen printing.

Ethics, Environmental Standards & Facility

Are your production practices ethical and verified?

Yes. Ethical production is fundamental to Swime Swimwear Co., Ltd. All cutting, sewing, finishing, and packaging operations are handled entirely within our safe, well-ventilated, modern Kerobokan facility.

Our team receives compensation double the local statutory minimum, full health and maternity benefits, government pension contributions, paid overtime, and standard working hours. We practice strict closed-loop fabric scrap re-purposing and package all pieces in plant-based, biodegradable polybags.

Why do you hold a Tax-Free Import Facility in Bali?

Our facility holds an exclusive government-certified Tax-Free Import Facility status. This distinction is granted only to export manufacturers that demonstrate rigorous environmental compliance, certified ethical labor treatment, and auditable accounting.

This license removes typical 35% Indonesian import duties on luxury Italian and American lycra, and we pass these savings directly to our brand partners in lower per-unit production costs.

Payment Terms & Global Shipping

What payment terms and transaction methods do you accept?

Sample Orders: Payable 100% upfront before pattern drafting and cutting commence.

Bulk Manufacturing: Managed on a 50% deposit to procure materials and start assembly. The remaining 50% balance is payable upon production completion and final quality audit approval, immediately prior to shipping release.

Payments are handled via secure International Wire Transfer (Telegraphic Transfer in USD or AUD). PayPal is accepted for prototype sampling orders.

Where do you deliver and what are standard shipping times?

We deliver worldwide using express air couriers including DHL Express and FedEx Priority. Deliveries to the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Asia reach your door within 3 to 5 business days.

All shipments are dispatched directly from our factory in Bali, fully insured and accompanied by official commercial export documentation, customs manifests, and online track-and-trace monitoring.
